David E. Smith

David E. Smith, 69, was born in Passaic on April 14,1951 to Joseph and Veronica (nee Black) Smith. He was raised and lived in Clifton before moving to Little Falls in 2002.

David was a Certified Master Mechanic and worked within the auto industry most of his life. 

Dave was happiest at the beach, on the sand and in the ocean.  He longed to be a beach bum in the sun. He enjoyed reading and rarely did you see him without a coffee in hand.

Always willing to help someone in need and could find a way to fix about anything in need of repair. His wit, sense of humor and smile was contagious.  

He was predeceased by his parents and his two brothers, Joseph Smith of Suffern, NY and James Smith of Falmouth, MA.

David is survived by his three children: his son, Ian Smith of Bloomingdale, NJ and his two daughters: Kelly Smith and Son-in-Law, Darius Fields of Secaucus, NJ and Sarah Smith-Elk and Son-In-Law, Gregory Elk, Jr. of Totowa, NJ; his two grandsons, Devin Fields and Donovan Elk; his granddaughter, Addison Elk; his four siblings, Veronica Mantel of Windsor, CT, Thomas Smith of Clifton, NJ, Susan Zinn of Woodbridge, VA and Kathleen Klucsarics of Whitehall, PA and many, many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls at 7:30 pm followed by an Initial Memorial Service at 8:00 pm. Due to current restrictions on allowable numbers (50) inside the funeral home, it is requested that those attending the visitation be courteous by limiting their time inside in order to allow others the opportunity to pay their respects as well.
