George Lechman Obituary

DR. GEORGE LECHMAN, 77, of Little Falls died Friday, November 25, 2022.  He was born in Priekopa, Slovakia, and with his mother came to the United States in 1948.  They followed his father who was building a new life in Jersey City.  Dr. Lechman remained there until 1976 when he moved to Montclair and resided there for many years. Seventeen years ago he relocated to Little Falls.

Dr. Lechman was a gifted, generous and wise man to family and friends alike.  His professional career spanned over 50 years.  This beloved chiropractor healed bodies and touched hearts.  He was also an active member in the Nyack Boat Club; respected, hard-working and fun-loving; a leader and friend to many. 

He was a parishioner of Holy Angels RC Church, Little Falls and St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Jersey City.

Dr. Lechman was predeceased by his parents, George and Elizabeth (nee Rusnak) Lechman and his niece, Kathleen DiCorcia-Pinho. 

Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Nagle; his children, Patricia Woznick and her husband, Greg of Glen Ridge and Kris Lechman and his wife, Lisa of Bloomingdale; his foster son, Thanh Nguyen and his wife, Van of Cypress, TX; his sister, Mary Ann Di Corcia and her husband, William of Hillsborough; and his grandchildren, Victoria, Matthew and CJ Woznick, Anne, Kaden and Belle Nguyen.  Dr. Lechman’s family included many loving nieces and nephews and their children.  Kathleen DiCorcia-Pinho, Thomas DiCorcia, William DiCorcia, Jr., Jennifer DiCorcia-Zink, Angela DiCorcia, Mary E. DiCorcia, Suzanne DiCorcia, Carolyn DiCorcia and Robert Nagle and his grand nieces and nephews, Natalie, Jessica, and Christina DiCorcia-Pinho, Danielle and Caitlin DiCorcia, Zoey and Kate DiCorcia-Zink, Brandon DiCorcia, and Gabriela Nagle Alverio.

Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls. The following day, there will be an 8:45 a.m. Prayer Service at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home.  The Mass will commence at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Angels RC Church, 465 Main St., Little Falls and interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
