Salvatore R. Mannarino, 88, of Watchung died Friday, August 12, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, NJ.
Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, Mr. Mannarino resided on Long Island while working in the aerospace industry. After moving back to New Jersey, he worked as an electronics engineer for the Department of Defense until his retirement at 84 years of age.
While residing in Wayne, he was a parishioner of Holy Angels RC Church in Little Falls where he sang in the choir for several years.
Mr. Mannarino earned a master’s degree in physics from University of Pennsylvania and also held a license as a private pilot. He was an avid ballroom dancer and also enjoyed flying radio-controlled model airplanes. He also enjoyed watching Yankee baseball.
He was predeceased by his son, Keith Mannarino; his parents, Frank and Carmella Mannarino; and his siblings: Nunzio, Eugene, Vincent, Antoinette and Frances Mannarino, Rose Quam, & Jean Kulstadt.
Surviving family includes his two daughters, Lynne Mauro and her husband, James of Warren, NJ and Sally Press and her husband, Steve of Temecula, CA and his four granddaughters, Jenna Mannarino, Jillian Mauro, Kali and Brielle Press.
Visitation will be from 7-9 pm Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls, NJ. Funeral will be 9:00 am Friday at the funeral home and 9:30 am at Holy Angels RC Church, 465 Main St., Little Falls, NJ. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
