Sarah (Danese) Latona

Sarah (nee Danese) Latona, 87, of Woodland Park, formerly of Little Falls, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021.

Born in Paterson, NJ, Mrs. Latona was a graduate of Benedictine Academy in Paterson and resided in Little Falls for 47 years before moving to Woodland Park in 2009. She was a retired Registered Nurse with St. Barnabas Medical Center of Livingston.

Mrs. Latona was a parishioner of Holy Angels RC Church, Little Falls, where she was a member of the Secular Franciscans, the Rosary Society, served as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered for the Homebound Ministry. She was also a member of the DaVinci Club.

She was predeceased by her parents, Massimo and Rachele (nee Piersanti) Danese and by her brother, Bernard Danese.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Dominick; her three daughters, Rachel Padian and her husband, Christopher of Basking Ridge, NJ; Anna Latona of Cranford, NJ and Laura Reimer of Vancouver, BC; her three grandchildren Paul Padian, Leah Reimer and Leanne Reimer; by her brother, Louis Danese and his wife, Jane of Lancaster, Pa. and her sister in law, Lois Danese of Manasquan, NJ and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10AM- 12 Noon on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls followed by a 12:30 pm Funeral Mass at Holy Angels RC Church, 465 Main St., Little Falls. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cem., Totowa. In lieu of flowers, Please consider a contribution to Holy Angels RC Church.
