Valentina W. (Worobjow) Contreras

VALENTINA “TINA” (nee Worobjow) CONTRERAS, 74, of Little Falls passed away Monday, Nov. 21, 2022.

Born in Charleroi, Belgium, Mrs. Contreras came to the United States as a young child settling first in Newark and then moving to Little Falls, where she raised her family and lived for the last 50 years. She was a Manager in the City Clerk’s Office for the City of Newark, where she was a respected, dedicated, and beloved employed for over 50 years.

Mrs. Contreras loved to read, enjoyed music, and was a talented cook. She had a special place in her heart for the beach at Wildwood Crest, where she vacationed every year with her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Aniela (nee Zborowska) Worobjow, and her step-father Ivan Truchan.

Mrs. Contreras is survived by her two loving children, Michael Contreras of Little Falls and Michele Sadati and her husband, Kayvan of Cedar Grove, NJ; her two beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Laila Sadati; her four sisters, Maria Bellarosa of South Jersey and Jeanie Thomas, Tamara Sample and Christine Wioland, of South Carolina, along with their spouses and children. 

Memorial Visitation will held from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022 at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm.
