Barbara G. (Ruiz) Estrella

Barbara G. (nee Ruiz)  Estrella, 90, of Little Falls died Thursday at St. Joseph’s Health Care Center, Cedar Grove.

Born in Guayaquill, Ecuador, Mrs. Estrella came to the United States in 1970 settling first in Paterson before moving to Little Falls in 1983. She was employed in several Roman Catholic Parishes including St. Joseph and St. Boniface RC Churches, both in Paterson. Mrs. Estrella was a parishioner of Holy Angels RC Church, Little Falls.

She is predeceased by her husband, Jorge L. Estrella, on August 5, 2015.

Survivors include her two daughters, Jeannette Bejarano and her husband, Richard of Little Falls and Rosemary Walker and her husband, Brian of Cedar Grove; her son, George S. Estrella and his wife, Dolores of Pompton Plains; her sister, Maruja (Maria) Ortega, both of Ecuador; her seven grandchildren, Lauren Langone, Kristen, Danielle, Jessica, Brittany, Derrick, Jake and three great grandchildren, Benny, Arlo and Sam.

The funeral will be at 11:30 am Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 52 Totowa Road, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to: Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, Ill 60601.
