BARBARA D. GIULIANO, 81, of Clifton died Saturday, March 23, 2024 at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, Paterson.
Born in Newark, NJ, Barbara was raised in North Arlington before moving to Clifton 70 years ago. She retired as a beloved teacher for the Clifton Board of Education, teaching in Schools #1, #13 and Woodrow Wilson Middle School. Through her work, she touched the lives of hundreds of children through the years. She was committed to maintaining relationships with many of her students far after her retirement, celebrating life’s joys, challenges, and grief with them. Barbara was a celebrated educator, receiving many awards, including being listed in the “Who’s Who” of New Jersey teachers.
She was a parishioner of Holy Angels RC Church, Little Falls, a member of Clifton UNICO, Clifton Historic Committee and The September Club. Barbara loved being active in her organizations and could always be counted on to participate and help in any way needed. She will be sorely missed by so many in these organizations.
Barbara’s greatest legacy is all of the friendships and relationships she made through her many years in Clifton. Co-workers, neighbors, health care workers, service workers, and childhood friends all knew, and loved her. She felt everyone she met was her friend, and they certainly were! Her cousins, and their children as well, were so greatly blessed by her generosity and caring concern.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Carmine and Mary (nee Errico) Giuliano.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 4-8 pm at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls.
