Bernice Natalie (nee Shumila) Green was born March 19, 1934 in Nanticoke, Pa. She grew up in Garfield, N.J. and later attended and graduated from Grace Downs Air Career School in New York as a flight attendant. She worked for several years at RCA in Harrison as a laboratory technician. She married her husband Kenneth James Green on November 30, 1957 and they have been together these past 63 years. They raised their family and lived for many years in Fair Lawn, N.J. where she was a member of the Valley Hospital Auxiliary and a volunteer for over 50 years. Bernice has lived in Little Falls for these past years where she loved to bake and be with her family.
Her greatest joy and what she loved the most was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves behind her devoted husband Ken, her two sons, Kenneth T. Green and his wife Cathy and Leonard Green, her two daughters, Sharon Daly and Meredith Zanca and her husband, Anthony; granddaughters, Ariel, Natalie and Tara and great grandchildren, Oliver, Conner, Alexsei and Nikolai. She was the most caring and generous to all her family, friends and those she touched in her life.
Bernice had a strong faith and is now with the Lord, her loved ones and surrounded by angels. She was a bright light and will be forever in our hearts.
