Carlina G. Santiago, 86, of Haledon died Thursday, August 10, 2023.
Born in Natividad Pangasinan, Philippines, Ms. Santiago came to the United States in 1981, settling in California to care for her ailing mother. She relocated to New Jersey in 1987 in time to welcome the birth of her grandson, Carl Vincent and has resided in the Haledon- Prospect Park area since. She had been employed as a Seamstress and Housekeeper.
Ms. Santiago was predeceased by her parents, Juan and Gregoria (nee Genetiano) Santiago and her grandson, Carl Vincent Suga.
She is survived by her three daughters, Marcela T. Ballon and her husband, Roseller of Philippines, Corazon Tapiz of Haledon, NJ and Gladys T. Sison and her husband, Nerlito of Canada; her five grandchildren, Carolynn Munoz and her husband, Cesar, Vivian Suga, Kevin Sison, Sarah Jane Ballon, Bon Joseph Ballon and her six great grandchildren, Kyla, Natalia, Axel, Trinity, Lira and Liam.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Sr. Gerard Majella RC Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson. Entombment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
