CAROL S. CULLEN, 86, of Little Falls died Sunday, February 18, 2024 at home.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, Carol was raised in Wanaque and has resided in Little Falls for the last 27 years. She had been a bookkeeper with Penguin Putnam Publishers of Rutherford. Carol was a parishioner and member of the Rosary Society at Holy Angels RC Church in Little Falls. She also participated in Cornerstone and made her Cursillo. Carol was a Secular Franciscan at St. Bonaventure RC Church in Paterson and had been awarded the Vivere Christus Est award by the Diocese of Paterson
She was predeceased by her parents, Eliot and Irene (nee Briere) Yott and by her three brothers, Douglas, Donald and Thomas Yott.
Carol is the beloved mother of Patty Cullen Christie of Kinnelon, NJ; Carol Minarick and her husband, David of Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ; Robert Cullen of New York, NY; Florence Pollio and her husband, Michael of Randolph, NJ, and Michael Cullen and his partner Cesar Perez of Leonardo, NJ. Carol is the beloved grandmother of Lauren Christie; Brian Minarick; Steven Minarick, and his wife Katie; Sarah Christie and her husband Charlie Kemmlein; Danielle Minarick; Nicole Sweedy and her husband Greg; Michael Pollio and his wife Amanda; and Irene Christie. Great-grandmother to Brandon & Logan Sweedy and John Minarick. She leaves behind her cherished sister-in-law Jan Yott and her cherished best friend DeeDee Hayden. In addition Carol is survived by many special nieces and nephews and many, many great friends. Carol has also left behind her doggy grandchildren who she always enjoyed.
All are invited to gather on Friday, February 23, 2024 for a 9:30 am Funeral Mass at Holy Angels RC Church, 465 Main Street, Little Falls. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Memorial Contributions to Holy Angels RC Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 401 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated. At Carol’s request, there will be no visitation.
