Doris K. Hengeveld

Doris K. (mee Schmidt) Hengeveld, 94, of Little Falls died Thursday, April 24, 2025.

Born in Pequannock, New Jersey, Mrs. Hengeveld resided in Little Falls since 1962. She had been a Teller with the former Little Falls National Bank as well a stamp collector and she loved to feed the birds.

Mrs. Hengeveld was a  member of Pequannock Reformed Church of Wayne and a former member of St. Agnes Episcopal Church in Little Falls.

She was predeceased by her husband, William, in 2002; by her two daughters, Janet Tenchka and Jeanne Daly; her parents, William and Katherine (nee Bundshuh) Schmidt, her brother, William Schmidt; her sister, Carolyn O’Dell and her granddaughter, Katie Daly.

Survivors include: her son, Jon C. Hengeveld of Little Falls; her grandchildren, William Hengeveld, Heather and Christine Tenchka and her great grandchildren, Michael Rypkin and Elizabeth Lewis.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 7-9 pm with a Funeral Service at 8:45 pm. On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, there will be a Departing Prayer at the funeral home followed by a procession to Laurel Grove Memorial Park in Totowa for a Committal Service.
