Dorothy W. Price, 92, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021, at her home in Cedar Grove, NJ.
She was born Jan. 30, 1929 in Tremont, Pa., daughter of W. Arthur Williams and Lillian Marquette. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1947, and received her R.N. from Geisinger School of Nursing, Danville, Pa., in 1950.
She married Frederick Price on 24 Jun 1950 in Ashland, Pa., then lived in Pittsburgh, Pa. while working as a nurse at McGee Women’s Hospital. In 1960, she moved to Cedar Grove, where she resided until her death.
She worked as a Registered Nurse at Mountainside Hospital, Montclair, until her retirement, and continued to volunteer there afterward.
A patron of the Metropolitan Opera and New York City Ballet, she was an avid collector of dolls and doll memorabilia.
She was a devoted member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Montclair.
She was predeceased by her husband, her sister Nancy Travis, brother Richard Williams, and son Eric Price.
She is survived by her sons Randy Price, New York City; Darren (Joanna) Price, Mountain View, Calif.; and Jason Price, Orlando, Fla.; her sister Ruby Kehler; nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, a memorial service will be delayed until a later date.
Burial will be at Laurel Grovel Memorial Park, Totowa, NJ.
