Elaine R. (Fazio) McGough

ELAINE R. (nee Fazio) McGOUGH, 84, of WAYNE died peacefully at home Friday, April 28, 2023.  She was born and raised in Passaic, moving to Rutherford upon marriage and then to Little Falls in 1964. She moved to Wayne in 2013.

She retired as the Faith Formation Administrative Assistant at Holy Angels RC Church in Little Falls where she was a long-time parishioner and a former member of the Rosary Society. Elaine was a warm, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family, especially gathering them for her delicious Sunday dinners and vacations at the Jersey shore. Her favorite pastimes were reading, crocheting, playing cards, winning slots in AC and rooting for the NY Rangers and Yankees. She was immensely proud of her grandchildren, never missing a celebration, milestone, or sporting event.   

Elaine was predeceased by her devoted husband of 62 years, Robert F. McGough on August 22, 2022, and by her parents, Anthony and Agnes (nee Shanahan) Fazio.

Survivors include: her three daughters, Maureen Liscio and her husband Thomas of Wayne, Patricia McGough and her partner, Gregg Persky of Verona, and Denise Feinstein and her husband, Erik of Clifton; her three grandchildren, Justin Liscio and his wife, Elisa of Towaco, Jordan Lyn Biasella and her husband, Michael of Arlington, MA and Jarred Liscio of Wayne and his fiancée Ariana Bernardo and her great grandson, Matteo Robert Liscio.

Visitation will be 4-8 pm Tuesday at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls. Funeral will be 9AM Wednesday from the funeral home and 9:30 am at Holy Angels RC Church, 465 Main St., Little Falls. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson..
