Ellen M. Mattioli

Ellen M. Mattioli, born on December 4, 1963, passed peacefully in her sleep on January 8, 2024.

Ellen loved her kids with all of her heart and would do anything for them. To the world, she was their mother, but to her family, she was their world.

Ellen had an unwavering love for Winnie the Pooh, tending to her garden, and spending time with the ones who loved her the most.

Ellen is predeceased by her high school sweetheart, Lloyd, and her mother, Anita. Ellen is survived by her three children, Matthew Mattioli and his partner, Anthony Cashin, Michelle Placentino and her husband, Justin, and Helena Mattioli, her father, Norman Scherzer, and her brother, Robert Scherzer and his wife, Leslie.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Temple Sholom of West Essex, 760 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009.

Shiva will be observed at the home of Norman Scherzer on Wednesday, January 10 from 4-8 pm and on Thursday, January 11 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
