Elvera Adelaide (Laughton) MacGilvray

Elvera Adelaide (nee Laughton) MacGilvray, 90, of Spring Hill, passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill, FL.

She was born on July 31, 1930 in Paterson, NJ. Mrs. MacGilvray resided in Hawthorne, moving to Franklin Lakes where she resided for 20 years, before moving to Little Falls, NJ. Elvera retired in 1984 as the Township Treasurer for Township of Little Falls and subsequently moved to Florida. “Vera” had a zest for life, and adored her family beyond words and relished her friendships. She always with a smile on her face and a propensity to laugh.

She was preceded in death by husband, Cornelius Kypers, 2nd Husband, Ian "Scotty" H. MacGilvray; her father, Frank A. Laughton and her mother, Vera (nee Trozzo) Laughton.

Elvera is survived by her three sons, Jeff Kypers and his wife Carol of DE, Steve Kypers and his wife Terry of Vernon, NJ, Kenneth Kypers and his wife Jackie of Pompton Plains, NJ; her stepson, Scott MacGilvray and his wife Tina of TX; stepdaughter, Dawn Wells and her husband Pete of  CO; her two brothers, Charles Laughton of Lake Placid, FL and Frank Laughton of Huntsville, AL; her six grandsons, Dan, Kevin, Neil, Ryan, Tyler and Gary Kypers; her two step grandsons, Christopher and Michael MacGilvray and her great grandson Ben; and many nieces and nephews.

A Walk Through Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Monday, March 8, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
