FLORENCE V. (nee Voorhis) BENDA, 91, of Woodland Park passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2025 with her family at her side, surrounded by their love and support.

Born at home in the Mountainview Section of Wayne, Florence then resided in the Singac Section of Little Falls before moving to Woodland Park 67 years ago. She was a retired Legal Assistant. Florence was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Angels RC Church, Little Falls.

She is predeceased by her husband, Howard M. Benda, in 2002 and by her siblings, Edward Voorhis, Roy C. Voorhis, Jr., Louise Blum, and Marjorie Di Buono. Florence is survived by her devoted children, Donna Benda Syko and her husband, Donald of Blauvelt, NY, Alan Benda and his wife, Patricia of Wayne, Bruce Benda of Woodland Park and Cynthia Miseta and her husband, Robert of Pompton Lakes; her treasured siblings, Beverly Cuccinelli and her husband, Joseph of Pompton Plains and William Voorhis of Galloway Township. She was graced with three grandchildren and was the cherished Grammy to Matthew Benda and his wife, Holly, Gianna Benda and her fiance, Angelo Greco and Kaitlyn Miseta.

Visitation will be on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025 from 4-8 pm at Bizub- Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls. Funeral will be 9:00 am Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025 from the funeral home and 9:30 am at Our Lady of the Holy Angels RC Church, 465 Main Street, Little Falls. Private Cremation to follow.
