GEORGE A. BOMBAY, 92, passed away on July 12, 2022 at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge.
A Mass was held for him on August 27, 2022 at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church in Clifton. Cremation was private.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. After enlisting and proudly serving in the US Army for four years, he graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He worked for IT&T Defense Corporation in Nutley, NJ as Director and Vice President of Business Development.
He is survived by his wife, the former Elaine Hercek; his daughter, Sharon Tolvay of Fredericksburg, Va.; hi granddaughter, Heather Tolvay of Philadelphia, Pa.; his grandson, Matthew Tolvay of Fredericksburg, Va.. He was predeceased by his loving and caring daughter, Laurie Martin of West Orange in 2010.
George was known for his kindness and thoughtfulness towards others, and he was blessed with a keen sense of humor which put a happy smile on many faces. In keeping with George’s living wish, his celebration of life was held privately with family.
