JAMES W. PESCATORE, 88, of WAYNE died Thursday at home.
Born in Haledon, NJ, Mr. Pescatore resided in the Bunker Hill section of Paterson before moving to West Paterson where he resided for most of his life, moving to Wayne in 2013. He was an Expediter for Singer Kearfott, ending his career with BAE Systems of Wayne.
A Veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict, Mr. Pescatore was a member of the 655th Transportation Regiment better known as “The Red-Ball Express” where in played Intercompany Army Football while stationed in Savin, France. He was a Hall of Fame NY Giant Season ticket holder of over 60 years. Mr. Pescatore volunteered with the West Paterson Recreation Department as a Field Assigner for many years and was a volunteer with the West Paterson Boys and Girls Club.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Doris X. Beach in 1998.
Survivors include: his son, James P. Pescatore and his wife, Nina of Wayne; his brother, Edward Pescatore of North Fort Meyers, FL and his niece, Lisa and nephew, Douglas.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021 at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls. Funeral will be 11AM Thursday, Feb. 11 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
