Joan Hessler (Carr) Copelton

Joan Hessler (nee Carr) Copelton, 90, of Totowa died Friday, May 2, 2025 at home.

Born in Fairlawn, New Jersey, Mrs. Copelton resided in Totowa since 1957. For a time, she and her husband, Robert resided in Absecon, NJ where she worked at Cesars Casino in Atlantic City. Previously, she was a school bus driver.

She was a former member of the Totowa United Methodist Church in Totowa.

Mrs. Copelton was predeceased by her son, Robert Copelton, Jr. and her daughter, Lori Copleton, ss well as her parents, George and Ruth (nee Bross) Carr.

Survivors include: her husband, Robert; her sister, Bonnie Catalano and her grandson, Scott Copelton.

A Graveside Service will be held 11:30 am Tuesday at Laurel Grove Memorial Park (Chimes Hill Section), 295 Totowa Road, Totowa. Please gather near the cemetery office at 11:15 am for procession to the graveside.
