John P. Pullara

JOHN P. PULLARA, 91, of Little Falls died Thursday, May 25, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Paterson.

John was a lifelong resident of Little Falls, NJ. He retired as President of Little Falls Savings & Loan Association, which culminated his more than 40 year banking career.

John was a Veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. He was an active parishioner and usher of Our Lady of Pompeii RC Church, Paterson. John was a member of many organizations including the Little Falls Lions Club, Little Falls Historical Society, Boy Scout Troop 14, Little Falls Little League, New Jersey Savings League, Passaic County Historical Society, and board member of the Garden State Concert Band. John had a love and passion for music, which continued throughout his life, playing drums professionally in his younger days and continued to play piano for enjoyment.

Survivors include: his wife, Loretta (Laraia) Pullara; his three children, Anne Scott and her husband, Michael of Liberty Township, OH; Mary Loprete and her husband, Laurence of Franklin Lakes, NJ; and John Pullara and Danielle Pullara of Berkeley Heights, NJ; his brother, Joseph C. Pullara of Altamonte Springs, FL; his six grandchildren, Jessica Turner and her husband, Taylor, Julia Scott, Laurence Loprete, Luke Loprete, John Pullara and Matthew Pullara; his great grandson, Theodore Turner; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Antoinetta (Montera) Pullara; his siblings, Della M. Conti and Charles S. Pullara. 

Visitation will be Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 4-8 pm at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls. Funeral will be 9:15 am Friday, June 2, 2023 from the funeral home followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Pompei RC Church, 70 Murray Ave., Paterson, NJ 07501.
