Joseph C. Pompeo, 95, of Little Falls died Monday, January 1, 2024.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Mr. Pompeo resided in Clifton before moving to Little Falls in 1995. He was the Assistant to the Vice President of Operations for the video division of Exxon Office Systems of Randolph, NJ.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from March 22, 1946 – September 26, 1947 as a Communications Chief. He received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University at night, while holding a full time job as Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at General Electric. He was responsible for building and solving manufacturing problems.
Mr. Pompeo was a lifetime member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineering (SME). In this capacity, he was responsible for the robotics engineering at several plants in the application of robotics and various products.
Mr. Pompeo was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Matilda (Terry) (nee DiRienzo) in 2012; by his parents, Joseph and Christina Pompeo and by his two sisters, Eleanor and Olga.
Survivors include: his wife, Liana Giorgadze; his two stepchildren, Nani and Dachi Sulava; his nephews, Richard Bryck of California and Stanley Bryck of Howell, NJ and his nieces, Barbara Zabransky of Pompton Plains and Carol Liebchen of St. Petersburg, Florida and many, many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4-6 pm Thursday at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls. Funeral will be 12:15 pm at Three Saints RO Church, 474 Outwater Lane, Garfield, NJ. (Please meet at Church) Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
