Josephine (Patti) Atanas

JOSEPHINE (nee PATTI) ATANAS, 91, of PATERSON died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022.

Born in Paterson, she was a lifelong resident. Josephine was a supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

She was predeceased by her parents, Charles an Pauline (nee Parlagreco) Patti and three sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, LuAnn Kearney and her husband, James of Paterson; her son, John Atanas and his wife, Lorrie Jean of Bloomingdale; her eight grandchildren, Daniele Van Tassel, Jessica (Tim) Ruit, James (Jamie) Kearney, Jr., Alicia (Curtis) Kearney, Megan Kearney, Melissa Kearney, Matthew Kearney, Amanda Kearney (Carlos) and her nine great grandchildren, Abigail, Grace, Amelia, Jacob, Julian, Christopher, Hailey, Alexander and Emma.

An inurnment of ashes will take place  at 10:00 am  Friday, Nov. 18, 2022 at Laurel Grove Memorial Park (Chapel of Eternal Light II Mausoleum Building) , 295 Totowa Road, Totowa, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
