Karl Edward Schafer

KARL EDWARD SCHAFER, 61, of Boonton, New Jersey passed away Monday, November 18, 2024. 

Born in Paterson, NJ, Karl was raised in Bergen County, graduating from Indian Hills High School in 1981. He attended Calvin College in Michigan. He built his life in Morris County, living in Montville and then Boonton for over twenty years. Karl’s memory lives on through his beloved daughter, Zoe Schafer, and his cherished mother, Hilda Taylor. He was predeceased by his father, Edward Schafer, as well as his dear brothers, Kurt Schafer and Scott Smith.

Karl had a magnetic personality and an extraordinary ability to connect with people. His role as Senior Account Manager at BradyPLUS in Carlstadt, NJ, was a natural fit for his warm and charismatic spirit. Fondly referred to by colleagues as a "Senior Sales Superstar," Karl’s kindness and humor made him unforgettable to those who knew him.

A lover of adventure, Karl found his greatest joy in boating and jet skiing along the shores of Bay Head, NJ, during the summer months. He embraced life with boundless enthusiasm, finding happiness in his friends and family and his two loyal dogs, Tanner and Shane.

Karl was a man of extraordinary generosity, always ready to lend a hand to friends and strangers alike. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a life fully lived.
