KENNETH CAMPEN, 84, of Little Falls died unexpectedly at home on June 2, 2024.
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, Mr. Campen has resided in Little Falls since 1960. He retired in 2004 as a Lieutenant with the Little Falls Police Department after 36 years of protecting his community. He introduced the “Officer Phill” program to the Little Falls grammar schools. Previous employment was as a 1st Class Machinist with O.C. Rudolph & Sons of Fairfield, NJ. Subsequent to his retirement, Ken worked Security for Passaic County Community College for the last 17 years.
Mr. Campen was a member of PBA Local #364 of Little Falls and was a 1958 graduate of Central High School in Paterson. He was also a graduate of the N.J. State Police Academy.
He was predeceased by his parents, George J. and Emma Mary (nee De Crescenzo) Campen; and by his two brothers, Richard and Stanley Campen.
He is survived by his wife, the former Salvatrice “Sadie” Mazza; his son, Kenneth Campen and his wife, Domenica of Little Falls; his two grandchildren, Kenny Campen and Gabriella and her fiancé, Antony Kamel and his brother, Stehen Campen.
Private Services were held at the request of the family. Memorial Contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (stjude.org) would be appreciated.
