Lila W. (Weir) Banks

LILA W. (nee Weir) BANKS, 83, of WEST PATERSON died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022.

Born in Paterson, Mrs. Banks was a lifelong West Paterson resident. She was a proud kindergarten teacher at the Father English Community Center in Paterson.

She was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure RC Church, Paterson; a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of West Paterson Fire Co. #3 and was involved in Cub Scout Pack #27 and District Level Activities.

Mrs. Banks was predeceased by her husband, David J. Banks, Sr. in 2012; by her parents, Frank Weir and Jennine (nee Dutcher) Weir and by her brother, Frank Weir.

Survivors include her two sons, David J. Banks, Jr. and his wife, Odalys of Mine Hill and Joseph R. Banks and his wife, Trudy of Hopatcong; her sister, Helen Lopusnak of Clifton; her three grandchildren, Kier, Amir and Adam and her great granddaughter, Mathilda.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 pm at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls. Funeral will be 10:00 am Thursday at the funeral home followed by a committal at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
