Linda G. (nee Weite) Crosman, 71, of Little Falls passed away surrounded by and in the loving care of her family on June 29, 2021.
Born in Paterson, Linda was raised in West Paterson and had lived in Little Falls, a town anyone who knew her knows she was most proud of, for the past thirty-eight years. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from William Paterson College and upon graduation began her thirty-four year teaching career, initially with the West Paterson Board of Education and then with the Little Falls Board of Education at School #1 and then School #3, for twenty-four years until her retirement in 2014. Even after, she continued her love of teaching by serving as a substitute teacher whenever called upon. She had been a member of the Junior Women’s Club in Little Falls, the Little Falls Municipal Alliance and was the secretary of the Republican County Committee. Linda’s love of life was surpassed only by the love she had for her family. There were no distant relatives or relatives through marriage…to Linda, they were her relatives and she loved each and every one of them and made sure to tell them and tell them often be it in person or via a quick comment on Facebook. She never forgot their birthdays and always celebrated their achievements and milestones and proudly shared them with others. Family meant everything to Linda and she loved her role as the one to keep them all together. Linda loved going on vacations with her family, especially to Wildwood and Disney World. She and her husband bought a timeshare with the Disney Vacation Club in 1994 and enjoyed many wonderful trips there with her children, grandchildren and even extended family. Linda loved time spent and meals enjoyed with her family and friends whether at home or out at a local restaurant and happily shared her recipes, especially for her mashed potatoes and her “famous” potato salad.
Linda was predeceased by her dearly missed parents, Robert and Helen (nee Marston) Weite.
She is survived by her beloved husband of forty-two years, Edward Crosman; her two loving and devoted children: Nicole Smith and her husband, Bill and Shaun Crosman; her caring and cherished sister Pamela Porter and her husband, Joseph; and her two treasured grandchildren, Kelsie and Brady Smith, all of Little Falls; her loved nephews and niece who were her “second set of children”: Joe Porter, Rob Porter and his wife Ashley and their children Drew, Luke and Sam and Christie Porter; and many loved cousins, extended family and friends. Linda will be dearly missed by all who had the good fortune of having had her be a part of their life.
Visiting will be Tuesday July 6th from 4-8pm at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls. Private funeral service and cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, Linda’s family kindly requests consideration of a memorial contribution to Susan G.
