Louise M. (nee Voorhis) Blum, 97, of Little Falls died Saturday at Merry Heart Health Care Center in Succasunna, NJ
Louise was a professional figure skater and while on tour met her future husband, Raymond E. Blum, an Olympic figure skater. After settling in Massachusetts and enjoying the outdoors and bike tours, she moved with Ray and his job transfer to California where they lived from the late 1960s until 2008, when they moved to Little Falls and resided there since.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond E. Blum, in 2010; her parents, Roy C. and Florence (nee Stager) Voorhis; her sister, Marjorie Di Buono and her two brothers, Roy C. Voorhis, Jr. and Edward Voorhis.
Survivors include: her two sisters, Beverly Cuccinelli of Pompton Plains and Florence Benda, of Woodland Park; her brother, William Voorhis of Galloway Township, NJ and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Holy Angels RC Church, 465 Main Street, Little Falls. Committal Service to follow at Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. Memorial Contributions to Holy angels RC Church, 465 Main St., Little Falls or Old Mission Santa Ines, 1760 Mission Drive, Solvang, CA 933464 would be appreciated.
