MARGARET ROSE (nee Smith) MULROONY “MAGGIE” , 82, of Churchville, Pa., formerly of West Paterson, NJ died Friday, May 28, 2021.
Born in Altringham, England, she came to the United States in 1948, settling first in Ellenville, NY before moving to Little Falls, NJ. She graduated from Passaic Valley High School in 1957. In 1960 she married her husband of 60 years Vincent H. Mulroony and moved to West Paterson where she lived and raised her family for 40 years.
She worked at a Pediatrician’s office in Paterson, NJ for several years before joining Union Camp in Wayne, NJ where she worked until she retired in 1999 after 20 years of service. After her retirement they settled in Pennsylvania. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, her dogs and spending time with family.
She is predeceased by her son, Michael V. Mulroony in 2020; by her parents, Lewis Smith and Rose (nee Girvin) Smith and her siblings John Smith, Hilary Smith and Stephen Smith.
Mrs. Mulroony is survived by her husband, Vincent H. Mulroony, her sister, Kathleen Scala and her husband Raymond of Oakland, NJ, her sisters-in-law, Lilian Smith, Alison Smith and Barbara Mulroony of Woodland Park, NJ; her children, Kate Alicea and her husband Tony of Jacksonville, FL, Heather Moore and her husband, Daniel of Holland, Pa, and John S. Mulroony and his wife, Victoria of Woodland Park; her grandchildren, Andy Alicea, Ashley Rowe and her husband Josh, Jack Mulroony, Connor Moore and his wife Alex, Mackenzy, Quinn and Shea Moore, James Mulroony, Ava Alicea and Samantha Mulroony, her great grandchildren, Nathan, Jude and Lochlan Rowe along with her many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 10AM- 12 Noon on Thursday, June 10, 2021 followed by a 12Noon Memorial Service at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls. Committal to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
