Maxine Bernice (Fennik) Goldfarb

Maxine Bernice Goldfarb, 84, of Paramus died suddenly on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

Born in Manhattan, she was raised on the Lower East Side before moving to Brooklyn NY. She left New York in 1975, moving to Ridgewood, New Jersey after finding their beautiful home. She and Marvin lived in NJ until 2010,  retiring to Boca Raton, Florida, Maxine returned to New Jersey almost ten years ago to be close to her family  

Maxine was a smart, funny, beautiful lady who  loved sports especially her New York Mets, Giants and Knicks. A self proclaimed “spitfire”, she left a positive and lasting impression on everyone she met.

Maxine was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Marvin Goldfarb, on June 5, 20213; by her sister, Etta Gluck and by her parents, Peter and Tessie (nee Weiner) Fennik.

She is survived by her two children, Rachel Goldfarb Kowalenko and her husband Gregory of Hewitt, NJ and Adam Goldfarb and his wife, Antonella of Washington Twsp., NJ and her two grandchildren, Ethan and Mia Goldfarb.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am Sunday, June 7, 2026 at the Chapel at Cedar Park Cemetery in Paramus followed by burial next to her late husband, Marvin.

After the service, please come to her home at 1 Soldier Hill Road, Paramus, NJ for Shiva, which will alsobe observed on Monday and Tuesday 3pm-7pm.
