Mildred Alta (Jones) Edwards

Mildred Alta (nee Jones) Edwards, 97, of Hamburg died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021 while receiving the loving care of her daughters.

Born in Nanticoke, Pa., Mildred came to New Jersey in 1951 settling first in Totowa before moving to Paterson for many years. She then moved to Wayne and then to Hamburg. She was a retired Telephone Operator with New Jersey Bell Telephone Co.

Mildred was a member of Mountainview Chapter #205, Order of Eastern Star of Wayne; a member of Echo Lake Baptist Church in West Milford and a former treasurer of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

She is survived by her two daughter, Jane Ann Farissier and Nancy Jean Di Martino, both of Hamburg, NJ; her two grandchildren, Thomas Farissier and Vicki Tullock; her two great grandchildren, Brandon and Dina Tullock and her great great granddaughter, Elena. She was predeceased by eight siblings.
