Mildred C. Koza, 102, of Little Falls passed away in her home in Little Falls on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022.
Born on March 3, 1920 in Eynon, Pa. to the late Stanley and Blanche (nee Hopan) Homski. Mildred worked for 37 years at Kearfott Guidance and Navigation in West Paterson, retiring in 1994. Prior to that she worked at Marconi Television. Mildred, in her early years, lived in Scranton, Pa. and operated Brown’s Tavern on Penn Ave. In 1943 she married Karl Kretch and moved to Paterson.
Millie was a very caring and giving person. She was a good neighbor and enjoyed maintaining her immaculate home and feeding anyone who walked through the front door.
Mildred is preceded in death by her devoted son, Chipper Kretsch. In addition, she is predeceased by her husbands, Karl K. Kretch and Theodore Koza, sisters, Sofia Homski and Stella Rutallie and brother Bernard, Charles and Frank.
Her yellow nape amazon parrot and trusted companion, Paco, survives her.
Visitation will be from 2-5 pm on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022 at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls. Please meet at Holy Angels RC Church on Wednesday, Dec. 7 for a 9:30 am Funeral Mass.
