Raymond N. “Spitzie” Sisco, 88, of Little Falls, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022.
Ray was born on January 26, 1934 to Nicholas and Frances (Luzzi) Sisco in Paterson, NJ.
He resided in Little Falls for many years before moving to Woodland Park in 1973. Ray retired as a Physical Education Teacher and Social Worker with the Paterson Board of Education.
He graduated from Passaic Valley Regional High School, Little Falls, earned his BS from University of Southern Mississippi University in 1968 and his Master of Education from William Paterson University in 1983. Ray worked as a Physical Education Teacher and Social Worker for Paterson Board of Education.
He was an accomplished bowler, bowling twenty 300 games. He was inducted into the NJ State, Passaic County and Bergen County USBC Halls of Fame.
Ray served in the New Jersey National Guard and as a reservist the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Frances (nee Luzzi) Sisco; his brothers: Charles, John, Joseph, Alfred, Louis and Anthony Sisco; and his sisters, Grace DeDiminicantanio, Sarah Villano, Josephine Gilberti and Angelina Casselli.
Ray is survived by his loving spouse of 49 years, the former Jean Bracaglia, his son, Raymond N. Sisco, Jr. of Prospect Park, NJ and his sister, Dorothy F. Lanik of Little Falls, NJ.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Thursday at the funeral home followed by entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
