Richard J. Di Buono

Richard J. Di Buono Sr., 91, of Wantage, formerly of West Paterson, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021.

Born in Paterson, NJ, Mr. Di Buono resided in West Paterson for 87 years, retiring to Sarasota, Florida before returning north to Wantage in 2018. He retired in 1990 as a Mechanic for the US Army National Guard of West Orange after 27 years.

A US Army Veteran, Mr. Di Buono was a member of the West Paterson Fire Co. #1 for 30 years and was a former member of American Legion Post #238 of West Paterson.

He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Morici and his three brothers, Carmen, Angelo and Samuel Di Buono.

Survivors include: his wife of 66 years, the former Jeanette M. Schweizer; his three children, Cheryl Ann Marchesani and her husband, Anthony of Wantage, Donna Delgado of Marietta, GA and Richard Di Buono Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Cape Coral, FL; his six grandchildren, Louie, Joseph, Nicholas, Gina, Toniann, Vincent and great grandson, Cameron.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls, NJ with a funeral service at 7:30 pm. Private Cremation to follow.
