Richard A. Fanelli, 91, of Little Falls died Friday, April 10, 2026.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, he moved to Little Falls in his late teens. He earned his BA in Education from Montclair State University and his MA in English from Seton Hall University.
Richard retired as an English Teacher from Hackensack High School where he taught for 35 years.
He and his wife, Michelle, were avid travelers, often traveling independently through Europe and Turkey. As you can imagine, as an English Teacher, Richard loved reading books after Michelle introduced him to the Kindle, he began to devour them.
Richard was not a one trick pony, in addition he loved to play tennis and watching all sports.
In addition to his wife, the former Michelle Klayman, he is survived by his son, Paul Fanelli and his wife, Mary Beth of Little Falls and his grandson, Paul Fanelli.
A Private family celebration will be held. Those wishing to express their sympathies, may consider a contribution to American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org). Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls in charge of arrangements.
