Ruth (Leitner) Magee

Ruth (nee Leitner) Magee, 98, of Toms River, formerly of Little Falls died Friday, April 28, 2023.

Born in Paterson, NJ, Ruth grew up in Totowa and graduated from Passaic Valley Regional High School in Little Falls. She then went on to graduate from medical secretarial school.

She resided in Little Falls since 1948 and had been employed as a medical secretary at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Howard Magee, in 1973 and by her two brothers, Donald and John Leitner.

Survivors include: her three children, Suzanne Scheck of Totowa, Jack Magee of Bayville, and Charles Magee of California; her four grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Kathryn, and Molly and her eight great-grandchildren Madelyn, Ryan, Addison, Savannah, Carmine, Vincent, Tanner Jr., and Genevieve.  

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 11:00 am- 12:00 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial Contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
