Sherril L. (Dinnerstein) Sakas

SHERRIL L. (nee Dinnerstein) SAKAS, 70, of Totowa died Saturday, October 11, 2025 from injuries sustained in a car accident.

Born in Newark, Sherrill resided in Totowa since 1986. She retired as an Economic Analyst for the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. An avid NY Yankee fan, she attended a fair number of games with her son, James. Sherril was an active vendor at the Englishtown Flea Market. Her passion was buying and selling at the Flea Market which lead to a successful 25-year internet selling business.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frank (James) Sakas, Sr,; her parents, Frederick Dinnerstein and Ida Debra Greenberg.

Survivors include her two children, James F. Sakas, Jr. of Totowa and Melissa Tarra Flores and her husband, Robert of Effort, Pa.; her brothers, Mitchell Dinnerstein of Jackson, NJ and Leonard Dinnerstein of Arizona and her sister, Barbara Dinnerstein Lerner of Florida.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025 from 4-8 pm with a 6:00 pm Funeral Service at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls. Private Cremation to follow.
