Sophie J. (Majewski) Melissant

Sophie J. (nee Majewski) Melissant, 75, of Totowa died Friday, April 4, 2025 at home.

Born in France, Mrs. Melissant came to the United States as a child and has resided in Totowa for the last 54 years. She retired as a buyer for World Finer Foods of Bloomfield. Mrs. Melissant was a member of Preakness Reformed Church in Wayne.

She was predeceased by her parents, Henryk and Eugenia (nee Pronin) Majewski.

Survivors include: husband, Leonard J. Melissant; her daughter, Nicole Melissant, both of Totowa; her son, Leonard Melissant and his wife Cheri of Williamsfield, IL; her three grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob and Derek and her three great grandchildren, Lorelei, Asher and Sterling.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street,, Little Falls.  Relatives and Friends will gather for a 10:30 am Prayer Service on Tuesday, April 8 at the funeral home followed by a procession to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
