Victor Villaplana Obituary

VICTOR HUGO VILLAPLANA, 74, of Haledon died Monday, April 15, 2024.

Born in San Jose, Costa Rica, Mr. Villaplana came to the United States in 1968, residing in Paterson for most of his life before moving to Haledon in 2014. He retired from Thomas’ Bakery of Totowa where he was employed for 33 years.

He was a parishioner of St. Mary Help of Christian RC Church, Paterson.

Mr. Villaplana was predeceased by his father, Antonio T. Villaplana and his mother, Fermeliza (nee Jimenez) Villaplana.

Survivors include: his wife, the former Maria Guerra; his daughter, Adylia Natalie Steele and her wife, Alina Steele of Tampa, FL; his two sons, Victor Anthony Villaplana and his wife, Nicole of Bloomfield and Douglas Villaplana of Paterson; his two brothers, Ronald and Kenneth Villaplana, both of Paterson; his sister, Antoinetta Villaplana of San Jose,

Costa Rica; and his four grandchildren, Matthew, Desiree, Jonathan and Liam Matteo Villaplana.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Monday, April 22, 2024 at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Little Falls. Funeral Mass will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at St. Mary Help of Christian RC Church, 410 Union Avenue, Paterson. Interment will be in El Salvador.
