William F. Kubarewicz

William F. “Bill” Kubarewicz left this world at age 88 on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 in Toms River, NJ.

He was born to William and Sophie (nee Dutka) Kubarewicz on March 4, 1936 in Clifton, NJ. Bill grew up in Clifton where he delivered newspapers on a bicycle he made from parts and graduated from Clifton High School. He completed aircraft mechanic training to become an Airman in the United States Air Force.

Bill met the love of his life, Patricia Doyle, at a Christian Youth Organization (CYO) dance and they married in 1955. Together they had two children, Lois Anne and William Patrick. Little Falls was his family home for nine years. While there, Bill was a parishioner of Our Lady of Holy Angels RC Church and a volunteer member of the Enterprise Fire Company #2. Bill worked long and hard as a truck driver for the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company (A&P), carpenter with Roy Schleigh, and as an aircraft mechanic with the 170th Air Refueling Group NJ Air National Guard at Newark Airport. When the 170th moved to McGuire Air Force Base in Wrightstown, NJ, the family moved to Toms River, NJ, where Bill lived for 58 years. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, a member of the Toms River Jaycees, and the Barnegat Bay Power Squadron.

During this time, he proudly served the United States for decades as an Air National Guard reservist, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Bill then worked in private industry as a Quality Assurance Manager at Lucas Aerospace in Englewood, NJ. As a Quality Manager with the General Services Administration he traveled throughout New Jersey to ensure products and materials purchased by the US government met quality standards..
In retirement, Bill was a volunteer with Community Medical Center, the Catholic Charities Fix-It Program and was nominated for Senior Recognition by the United Way of Ocean County. A meticulous man of many talents and abilities, Bill could troubleshoot any problem and fix it. For years, he masterfully crafted beautiful wood furniture in his basement workshop for loved ones.

Bill was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, the former Patricia Marie Doyle; his parents, William and Sophie (nee Dutka) Kubarewicz; his two brothers, John and Anthony and his sister, Olga Kubarewicz.

He is survived by his two children, Lois Anne Rosstedt and her husband, Mark O. of Toms River; William Patrick Kubarewicz, Sr. and his wife, Catherine A. of Lanoka Harbor; his four grandchildren Brad Connor Rosstedt, Rachel Anne Rosstedt, William Patrick Kubarewicz, Jr., and Kacey Michaela Kubarewicz; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 8:30-9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls followed by a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Holy Angels RC Church, 465 Main Street, Little Falls.
