Cremation Services

CREMATION OPTIONS

2

Cremation is a very personal choice. You must determine what form of preparation for final disposition you desire. Whether you choose earth burial, entombment or cremation, it is wise to consider the emotional needs of your survivors. By including your family and loved ones in your decisions, you may avoid the possibility of added stress during a very emotional time for your survivors.

Cremation is the process of using flame and heat to reduce human remains to bone fragments. These fragments are further reduced to a granulated form so that they may be more easily placed in a container or scattered.

More and more people are opting for cremation as their form of final disposition. Some feel that it is a more natural, or environmentally sound process. Others just feel more comfortable with the idea of cremation.

We have been entrusted with the care of many hundreds of cremation services. Our funeral homes have facilities to conduct private and public gatherings and ceremonies. Most importantly, we feel that it is the duty of our funeral directors to offer choices, to carefully listen to the family's preferences, and then to help carry out those wishes.

There are four main options when cremation is chosen as the form of final disposition, and any of these can be tailored to meet specific needs:

  • Cremation following a traditional ceremony, which may include viewing
  • Cremation following a viewing only
  • Cremation before or after a memorial ceremony or reception
  • Cremation when the decision has been made not to have ceremonies

Please contact us with any questions you may have regarding cremation. We will be glad to answer them.
